Fundraising Ideas

Your dress up or down day can be as simple or as sophisticated as you like. You could pick a theme or everyone could dress as they please. Whatever you choose, please remember that all those participating must make a donation to take part in the day's activities; additionally get family and friends to sponsor you, which could help raise even more money for Tŷ Hafan!

There are plenty of ways you can raise extra money on your dress up or down day:

• run a raffle
• fill a Smartie Tube with £1 coins
• Serve refreshments
• hold a sale of unwanted gifts
• have a sigh box at work
• check if your company can 'match fund' what you have raised at work

Remember to make your local newspaper and radio station aware of your event; it's good publicity for you and might encourage others to hold their own event.
